today is a great day! The cds were waiting on the table for me this evening. Just finished cd 1, and am pondering a 2nd spin, before hitting # 2.... its that good. Thank you Julian for listening to your muse, and have the energy, talent, and ability to convey into words the ideas you have. Well fucking done!

Yep, My copy also arrived today. I have been listening to this record on and off all night. one of Julian's finest of recent times, a return to the Cope of old we all love. Now the booklet cover photo. Is it just me or does Vybik, with his arms crossed look very wet, miserable, and pissed off (only joking of course!!!). Standing there on his own to the right probably thinking, what am I doing here with these freaks!!! Anyway Vybik what does 'Law Council' involve??? Cheers copius-freakus2

Thought Come the Revolution, Blood Sacrifice, Shipwreck of St Paul, All the Blowing-themselves Up Motherfuckers, The Black Sheep's Song and (most of all) the epic I Can Remember this Life were all fantastic!!! :^D love Moth Yep. Agreed. It's an excellent, bountiful beast. It has great tunes, EXCELLENT wordage, brilliant production, and a lovely girt dollop of humour. Top Stuff. More of a 'whole' than J'Kill IMO (probably as a result of the 2 CD thang). Oi loik it a laat (as they say in here in 'notanotherfuckingraincloud' enshrouded Debbun) Highlights for me at the mo are All the Blowing Themselves Up... and the 11 mins+ of ' I Can Remember this Life '. But have no fear..... looking forward to hearing it again tonight. Now if we can just get M'Lud some airplay on Sean Keaveney's Morning Show on 6 Music..... Sumptuous. Songs to silence religion to..... Peace Pilgrim X

Ha! I was very wet and cold, but certainly not miserable or pissed off. It was sleeting. Law Council - hugely important and far too complicated to explain!

Played it a few times yesterday. Yus I likes it very much. Mellower in tone than I thought it might be - in fact for those that think Cope has been a bit too metal or rock* recently will find much to like here. Tonally I'd put it somewhere between the mellower moments of "You Gotta Problem With Me" and some of the catchier stuff off "20 Mothers" with a couple of almost "Peggy" like slow-burning epics. Those expecting a return to slicker production styles might be disappointed although it's not all as 'rough' as some previous recordings. Some of it's downright poppy. "All The Exploding..." is hilariously catchy as others have said. Oh if only it gets some airplay somewhere. Black Sheep -an album for fans of Julian Cope I'd say. *Though obviously there's no such thing.
