I'd just like to hear what they'd have to offer after all these years...what with the individual activities that have gone on in the intervening years. I'm not really one for nostalgia & hearing the greatest hits...it's development that interests me more (which is why I was non-plussed with reunions by the Velvets etc). The Stooges got the idea right even if the execution ('The weirdness') was poor.

A.R.Kane didn't seem that brilliant on their 3rd lp anyway did they? Seemed to have lost the noise element, possibly some of the spaceyness too if i'm thinking right. I guess its an ok lp but its no 69 or i. Sufi were ok too. Do wish some live A.R.Kane would turn up , Bark Psychosis too. Wonder what happened to John Ling? Think he virtually disappeared. Stevo

I got the Curtis Mayfield DVD Movin On Up this week . It looks like the classic mid 60s Wailers photo from which the 2 Tone symbol basically lifted the shot of Tosh was itself based on a photo of the Impressions. http://www.amazon.com/Music-Message-Curtis-Mayfield-Impressions/dp/B0014JKL6Y I know the Impressions did leave an impression on the early reggae scene. There are a few straightish covers on the Lee Perry Arkology set but can't think offhand if the Wailers actually covered them. Stevo
