After ten or so times through the whole thing I am not getting on with disc one at all but I think disc two is a genuine grower. A bit of Doors here, a bit of Robert Wyatt there. It's all somwhat under-recorded and has too much of an indie out-of-focus sound for my taste but then that's an aesthetic issue not a content issue. I definitely wasn't expecting another Peggy. I was hoping for more of that glacial My Wall / Odin slow-mo thing.
Woden I like a lot, Sick Love too, musically CGYOOMC is pretty groovy though I have no idea what he is saying any more than I did when he bunged a Sardinian flag on the cover of DO. Hidden Doorways and Shame have a nicely retro Cope feel to them. They'll probbaly all make the Cope 100 on my pod.
