What's the big deal with the new Slayer? It just sounds like a modern Seasons In the Abyss (which is a very mediocre and overrated album imo)..

In no order:

Evan Parker - Time Lapse
Sunn0))) & Boris - Altar
Keiji Haino - Animamima
Geir Jenssen - Cho Oyu 8201m
Keiji Haino - Black Blues (or were these last year?)
Phill Niblock - Touch Three
Scott Walker - The Drift
Six Organs of Admittance - The Sun Awakens
Tony Conrad - Joan of Arc

(Yet to hear new Circle, new Ghost and probably some more up-there new stuff too (Keith Rowe and Toshimaru Nakamura; Drain'd Boner). I'll get there in the end. (New Rosy Parlane shaping up nicely.) It's been a much better year for me for old stuff rather than new stuff, as usual. Too much to remember, yet alone mention. Live-wise, nobody's anywhere near touching Sunn0))) - quite literally a religious experience. Amen.)
