No-one knowing my musical bent will be surprised to see the Hatfields' 'Hatwise Choice' and hot-off-the-press 'Hattitude' collections heading my albums of 2006 list. Honourable mentions are also due to:

Arctic Monkeys 'Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not'
Paul Stanley 'Live To Win'
Thom Yorke 'The Eraser'
Elton John 'The Captain And The Kid'
Bob Dylan 'Modern Times'

and three prime reissues:

Julian Cope 'Jehovahkill - Deluxe Edition'
David Byrne & Brian Eno 'My Life In The Bush Of Ghosts'
Sassafras 'Wheelin' & Dealin'/'Riding High'

Worst album of the year by someone capable of far better:

Van Morrison 'Pay The Devil'

Happy winter to all

No Ive not got any of those. Did briefly have the Secret Machines album but it didn't do owt for me at all so gave it away pretty quickly.

Related to another post on this thread - would be intrigued to hear the Celtic Frost album, weren't they just a poor thrash metal band?

I've twelve of 'em.

Fave album this last year has to be 'The Victorian English Gentlemens Club' by The Victorian English Gentlemens Club. It's damn fine!
