I saw that too. Great prize but not for me i'm afraid. Hangovers used to last a coupla hours, now they last days.
Er, to qualify original post, I wouldn't want to give the impression that he was my bestest mate or anything. One of my mates was a mate of the Ruts guitarist Paul Fox who in turn was mates with Rat.
Which reminds me that they played together in an occasional band called 'Foxes and Rats' doing mostly 60's covers at tiny venues in and around London at the period. Ah.. happy carefree days.

It's one thing to sell-out to capitalism in general, but another to sell-out to leering, hateful right-wing rednecks. I can see why some 'scum-fuck' group like Antiseen would, but Billy Zoom? Why would he involve himself in something this downright UGLY? "This must be the new world..."

Met Scabies after a T.Rex gig. Said Marc was a smashing geezer, which was good enough for me!

Stray Cats - Diamond geeezers, but very very very small

Dieter Meir - A distinguished Gentleman

Barry Adamson - Aloof

Jimmy Pursey - As you'd expect, very affable. talked a lot about whippets

John Entwhistle - Ignorant & charmless

Martin Chambers - Used to see him regularly inCrouch End & always very affable. But then he's a Hereford lad...

William Orbit - Gave us loads of freebies

Seen Bowie in public twice but didn't have the nerve to speak to him

And Pat Fish (Jazz Butcher) - Wot a lovely man. On the second occassion(several years later) he even remembered my name!

A number of years ago I worked on a lot of music videos and I had the pleasure of working the following.

Eminem, limited acting talents but put up well with doing a lot of takes
Moby, an impatient egotist
Madonna, gracious, professional but happy to stay in her trailer and keep everyone waiting
Seal, had a toke and delivered a great performance
Shane McGowan, Didn't show up so runners were sent to all local pubs to find him, when they did he was great
Fiona Apple, very pleasant and great performer in difficult shots
Sinnead O'Connor, as above
Red Hot Chilli Peppers, easy going bunch who brought their kids in
Britney Spears, seemed more mature than her image

There were many more videos, the memory of which was erased, probably by the spliff after the shoot.
None were completely unpleasant and none are my musical heroes as such, so I'm not sure of why I posted this.
