It was a sad loss to KC when Jamie Muir left.
He did indeed use 'bits of metal' in his percussive arsenal. There may be some documentation on the 'Great Deceiver' box-set, but don't hold me to it!
I wish they would have cut down on the 'songs' a bit more (as much as I do like them) and had more of that dark, intense instrumental material recorded.
Listening to the 30th anniversary re-ish of 'Lark's Tongues...' (originally released in 1972), you can hear a clearer sound, but Muir was never given enough 'wumpf' in the mix!
