Actually, I thought Dennis Pennis or should I say Paul Kaye was quite a versatile chap. I saw him in a serious kind of drama on TV a few years back. I can't remember the name of said programme, but it was very strange, where he was marooned on a scottish island in a dream sequence kind of thing- it was very odd. He seemed to be a really good actor.

I was brainwashed too! ....and yes...that 'Pleeeeease, Pleeeese', pleeeease open your eyes' or whatever he sang is good and there are a few other good moments. I even bought Brain Salad Surgery on CD....er....I get synth samples from it!.....honest! (ahem) :-I

I have a funny/embarrasing story about my friend John Schoen of Pengo. Around '89 or '90, or maybe this was '91, I saw John and his friends at the back-room at Record Archive (the owner of that store knows my current lover funny enough!) This was after his first band -- a hardcore thrash group called Solution -- broke up. Anyways while I was looking at the used/rare vinyl I overheard John raving about the cover of Brain Salad Surgery. Something like "Wow dude! This is soo surreal and awesome!"
