I was sat in the car today, watching the rain roll down the windscreen. The engine was switched off, and I could hear, quite clearly, the rain pattering against the windows. It was definately and unequivocally random. A staccato tattoo of quietly arhythmic sounds.

Clearly the bloke who sang "I listen to the rhythm of the falling rain" was deluded.
