On a silmilary pedantic geographical note, there's

"Here's a little thing that's gonna please ya
It's just a little town down in Indonesia, Bangkok
Now here's a little thing that's gonna blind you
It's just a little town down in Indo-China, Bangkok"

"Bangkok", immortalised in this klapped out Alex Chilton klassik, is of course in Thailand. That might sound petty to us western ears, but try telling the residents of Bangkok they live in Indonesia.

Another one which might sound like a self-evident untruth on the surface is "And I'm wondering who could be writing this song" from Syd's "Jugband Blues", but sadly knowing him it has the ring of truth about it.
