I suspect there's a profound Europe-wide resentment towards the 52% and a wish for them to gain less than nothing from their folly. And the truth is, apart from huff and puff and spin there's nothing the May government can do to influence the final outcome of the "negotiation". Europe is using far more moderate language than Boris, Gove and the Farage oik but it doesn't mean we aren't going to be humiliated.
