No hard feelings? Course not. I suspect we'd get on like a house on fire if we were ever to meet. But i'll be honest - that whole thing has made me a lot more cautious about what i post here. And that's my problem, not yours, so don't worry about it. There's just so many areas of conflict in life already, that i tend to take any steps to eliminate the avoidable ones. Less ulcers and depression that way.

My fault for requesting your services in criticising my plan, I chose you esp. as you seemed the most distinguished argumentative poster here who could and would try to talk me out of it, and due to your knowledge of the oil industry. Instead, I'll let the rest of the peace movement up here dissuade me.

I know it was a typo, but "flown off the nadle " is a fabulous sounding expression.

heh, yeah. I thought the same when I noticed it after pressing post. It appears to be an eastern european surname. So it could be a Politically Incorrect trip wire ;). Or a russian word. Anyone here speak russian, if it is russian. I gotta know now.

Re: BNP win - a small observation

I realise that this is not a particularly astute or perhaps politically informed observation, and having read this thread am ever so slightly wary of how I come over on U-Know 'cos I know that sometimes I don't always have the knowledge.....BUT, the footage of the guy who won reading his statement to camera was horribly funny...cos it was brutally apparent that he was barely capable of reading out loud and was in fact as as thick as several congealed gallons of pigshit. Utterly dense. Perfect BNP material one might say.

It is very bad news though, all agreed on that.

In Birkenhead, the council's main aim seems to be to send the bailiffs round for non payment of community charge. Does this happen in all places beginning with "B"?

People aren't voting for the BNP or its policies but as a protest against the mainstream parties for their failure to represent them.
Labour no longer represents the working class or union members who used to finance the Labour Party but equates to a professional quasi-socialist, who has bags of money ( lawyers, psychologists, useless bastards et al) and never done an honest days work in their bleeding heart lives.
Cherie Blair being their prime example - if ever there was a woman who you'd love to beat the fucking shit out of, there it is. Not that I would, but its just all she represents - honest.
So come on, how can someone who defends wankers who prey on the old and vulnerable members of society and draws hundreds of thousands in salary and wears ridiculous designer clobber, claim to be a socialist.
Oh yeah and I nearly forgot about sending the kids to a school 11 miles away........and on and on
Come the revolution brother.... first up against the wall the the Blair Pair.
I hated Maggie but at least she said she was a Tory.
