BNP in Blackburn
Nov 22, 2002, 10:01
Despressing news on 3 counts really..

1) BNP gain a seat.

2) BNP gain a seat in the area directly next to where I grew up, and where my parents still live.

3) The guy who has won the seat used to be my next door neighbour. In fact my folks are quite good friends with his folks(they no longer live in the area). I can't say I really know the guy, apart from to say 'hello' to, but I have vivid recollections of Gary Numan, David Bowie and Kraftwerk records being blasted out of his bedroom window in the early eighties...

I think it's all very worrying for us folks living in the North West.

It is, obviously, seriously fucking shit.

The BNP 'won' the seat in the basis of their normal set of utter lies - and only then very narrowly and on the basis of a very low turn out.

There is a vague hope they will be debarred, as they put out a leaflet purporting to come from the Liberals that said they woyuld spend 'all' the available money on refugee's.

Nut even so its a fucking crushing indictment of how the local council do absolutely fuck all to really help the vast majority of working-class residents of places like Blackburn, or Burnley etc etc.

The Nazis got less than 3% vote in 1928 Germany.

Best way to end the BNP is to support the SNP.
Then you lot can deal the ENP on your own.

what do the BNP do in Scotland?
I know they exist up there, but they never seem to get anywhere at all.
Are they just far more crapply organised than in England do you think?
Or is is that the 'Labour are fucking uselss' vote goes to the SNP/SSp instead?
(Please don't try n tell me that the Scots just aint racist, cos I thihnk I'd find that hard to believe!)

25% of Scots are racist and admit it.
25% of Scots are racist and don't realise it.

The BNP leaflet outside of football matches, and do run in elections, and have previously won seats in strongly loyalist areas. However, perverse as it seems, it is probably our racist attitudes towards the english and the negative connatations towards the word British that hold them back.

I'd vote for any party whos election ends the British state, and promises an immediate and new election.
Breaking the problem down into more managable chunks is all.

But it is more than slightly important to consider what they would replace it with though isnt it ?

Nah, can't be any worse than it is just now.
Just joking, once we got independence I'd vote against them too. Its a cynical short term ploy.
And the SNP being called Tory is better than the BNP being Nazis.
Sorry for raising the SNP though, I don't mean to hijack the thread - the BNP deserve all our attention.
