Really started this thread with Hmmmmmm....as in some deliberation would be needed.
The jury has spoken though.
Me, i felt before the sentence was handed down, that life would be appropriate. Dzhokhar Tsarnaev was clearly led along into this tradgedy by his older disenfranchised brother. But did'nt most of us know the magnitude of such a plot by our early teens? I certainly did.
Came down to my upbringing and fear of god too. {no bad thing}
Dzhokhar Tsarnaev will face brutalization in prison...it would be no 'LIFE'. Is his sentence a mercy?
I could not flip the switch.... Buy every society has those who can.
Or throw stones.
I do not believe his sentence offers retribution or vengence, it is simply the law of the land.
Each crime has a price to be paid for it's magnitude. Dzhokhar Tsarnaev
and his brother fled the scene in hopes of not being detected and evading prosecution.
They were caught. But had they not, would they have perpetrated such a crime again? I think probably so.
Just because a verdict does not go as i thought it should, in this case i think justice is served.
