That's all true. There are plenty of people in England who would like to see a "Yes" vote in the hope that it would function as a reset for the other three countries and do so without thinking far beyond the vote itself. The prospect of a permanent Tory majority in what remains of the UK seems to bother folks not jot. Which of course might have more to do with a lack of faith in what a post New Labour left of centre party can achieve in practice. The idea that "they're all the same" is the greatest trick that the right have pulled on the UK electorate. Leads to people taking unthinking positions as a rebellion against politics as a whole.
