I just did a search for Sarah Palin Abstinence on google. One site was a right wing blog called the Eagle forum Alaska. The page listed responses to various questions from various politicians. It's still up and running, but the page linked had myteriously disappeared. Fortunately it's archived. http://64.233.183.104/search?q=cache:Lh8LX8KyM6sJ:eagleforumalaska.blogspot.com/2006/07/2006-gubernatorial-candidate.html+%22sarah+palin%22+abstinence&hl=en&ct=clnk&cd=9&gl=uk&client=firefox-a Here's the relevent bit... 3. Will you support funding for abstinence-until-marriage education instead of for explicit sex-education programs, school-based clinics, and the distribution of contraceptives in schools? SP: Yes, the explicit sex-ed programs will not find my support.

I was reading in a paper today that the charming young 18 year old that got Ms. Palin pregnant proudly describes himself as a 'redneck' and will "kick anyones ass that fucks with..." him. Nice, must have him round the Whitehouse for canapes and discussions regarding future foreign policy.

Seems as though support for Obama got past the 50% mark. Gee, I wonder why...

"A changing environment will affect Alaska more than any other state, because of our location," she said. "I'm not one though who would attribute it to being man-made." http://voices.washingtonpost.com/the-trail/2008/08/29/palin_not_convinced_on_global.html

What I find more striking of all is that (according to what it sez here) McCain does toe the 'man made climate change' line. I must admit, I do kind of switch off whenever I see anything re the presidency - it's been played out for so long now, so I couldn't and really couldn't be arsed quoting him on anything. I wll show some interest on the night I'm sure. However this glaring discrepancy in attitudes does kind of make you think he chose her name from a spinning tombola or something. Even if he's being trite on the issue (oh very possible), he certainly hasn't shared any of it with her. She shoots things. With a big fuck off rifle. She don't care what gets mowed down or melted away. x

There's nothing quite like a pro-life gun-advocate to set off the doublethink detectors.

http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2008/09/03/politics/animal/main4413733.shtml While the mic is still on but the camera off, Republican talking heads bemoan McCain's pick.... Hee hee! I love it.

Yep, the full quote that comes from is completely odd, it was out of context with the rest of his sentence to be honest. I think both parties involved are horrified by the fact they're going to have to marry each other.
