Before we get to the point of hoisting all that hardware out of the gravity well we can do a hell of a lot more to quit wasting energy thru 'dumb' use.. leaving stuff on when it shouldn't be... devices that use 'trickle' power for no reason... etc.
If we maximize the efficiency of our usage, then we'll be in much better shape for when LSP becomes feasible on a commercial scale.
