Does Buddhism have any scripture with admonitions to kill non-believers, homosexuals, disobedient children, etc.? That's the problem with monotheism at least, the fundementalists usually have something within their holy book to back up what they say.

I refuse to believe that Islam or Christianity are religions of peace and/or love until somebody does a major revision of their sickening books, or at least adds some footnotes all throughout say, Leviticus saying "we don't really believe this shit anymore".

Fundementalists are just the guys who take seriously what their scripture says. "Moderate" religious people are putting their own common sense and decency before it, which they're not supposed to do.
