Re: It's not hard
Jun 24, 2004, 17:31
Well, if you're going to pick people up on their grammar and spelling to win points how's this from your initial post?

"... because of their government and it's sins."

and its sins

"... represented by it's government"

by its government

"... lovy-dovy."

lovey-dovey

Now. I'm not sure what you're saying here. Extremists in any belief system are going to be a problem. Islam does not teach that everyone else should be killed off, nor does Christianity. You only have to study how the Moors behaved in Spain to see that Muslims can be very tolerant of other religions.

Most of the right-wing Xtians would love Islam if they only stood back and looked at it properly. Christians are supposed to be meek in order to inherit the earth, but Mohamed said it was cool to have money and prosper. The so-called 'right-wing Xtian fundamentalists' that are running the world right now are about as Christian as ... erm ... something very un-Christian.

Most rational anti-war people are against American foreign policy, not America itself or Americans in general. The people of Iraq (and perhaps to a degree Afghanistan) are fuly aware that they've been bombed back into the stone-age for oil for western markets. They must be very proud when they see a US tank rolling towards them or a helicopter gunship circling overhead knowing that it is being powered by their oil!
