I suppose you're right.

(But surely we've had the elgin marbles a long time, and they weren't kept in precise conditions until very recently? Though I suppose now it can be done, it ought to be done)

Have you seen the recent arguments about 'David' and whether he should be cleaned?

Bruce Banner is the original guy. They called him David in the TV series cos Bruce sounded too effeminate. David Banner is the name of the Hulk's Daddy.
The movie has gone back to Bruce..

Elgin marbles have always been pretty well kept, admittedly largely accidentally the BM is perfect for keeping marble.
Yes, David should be cleaned. Not by either of their methods tho!
