Could be, but I don't see they would benefit from doing so. None of it's going to stick to the government and surely the Torygraph gets more milage out of having someone in the labour party who's happy to gush over how much he salutes Saddam Hussein's courage, strength and indefatigability than if he gets knocked back to being a member of the public. Also, they're the biggest selling broadsheet already so they probably don't need to resort to making up news to try and boost their circulation. If you were telling me that MI5, MI6, the CIA, the NSA or even the Iraqi government themselves forged it I would take a lot less convincing.
