I know how you feel. I am highly ambivalent to the things, they don't look as bad as power stations, and they do seem to be needed, but they can make a fair bit of noise.

In this case, it's placement seems to be due to the farmer wanting his own turbine to power his farm, so it'll have to be on his land. But from the video Moss posted, looks like a slight shift to one side would make it hidden by trees.

Personally, I'd be happier with wind turbines if they covered them with lights so they could look all spangly and shiny after dark ;)
