Well... It's looking more and more likely ot be an Avebury one again! Although there's nowt stopping us from doing a Northern one AS WELL! I'm game for both! April appears to be a bit of a busy one (for me, anyways! And I KNOW there's a lot of fellow Arians that frequent this site too!) How does Sat 12th May suit people? For the Southern one? Or would the Sunday be better? G x

Clever Goff ;) its a long walk up to Fyfield Down, theres the top of Waden Hill overlooking Silbury, which is not too far to walk...

Yup, 12 May is good for me - will stick it up on the Stones List as soon as it's confirmed.

Avebury, that weekend is fine by me. Blimey Goff I'm impressed, you seem to have successfully herded the kittens!

Yeah, I reckon - meets all criteria - and there's plenty to do round there! Long walks, short walks, warm pub, springs, stones, lumps and bumps... Shall we say near the Cove again? http://maps.google.com/?ie=UTF8&z=18&ll=51.42909,-1.854147&spn=0.002391,0.004989&t=k&om=1 Nice and sheep-pooey... ;o) G x

Does anyone else find the Cove at Avebury a bit overwhelming and um...scarey? Maybe the long stone leaning over put me off, but I can't bring myself to go inside it.
