It ought to be said that Pixie works full time and unpaid for the sake of the buried archaeology of Thornboro and has picked up a thing or three about trial excavation. Also that she had no intention of touching the Thing (which is bloody fantastic) and I don't think anyone here thought otherwise. I jokingly nagged her by phone last night to dig it up by torchlight but she wouldn't.
I think you can take it it's as safe as houses with her, a lot safer than in certain highly trained hands, which it might have been if it was the other side of her fence!
