me and my music
Feb 16, 2003, 23:03
Got PIL's 2nd Edition through the post this week. This version is handier for storing purposes rather than that blasted metal box.

Massive Attack - 100th Window. Kind of following on from the mezzanine dark and moody vibe. I think Sinead O Connor's voice works really well with the music, and I think I prefer it to the likes of Liz Fraser and that woman off EBTG on previous albums. Great soundscapes with 3D very much to the fore. Daddy G isn't on this album I don't think, but Horace Andy once more is.

Boards of Canada - Music Has the Right to Children. Only listened to it once and doesn't seem like Geogaddi was much of a departure from this. Think I prefer Geogaddi at present.

Regulars like WSYM, Gongs Floating anarchy and Ashra Tempels Schwingungen still hit the spot. These cdr's stay by my computer and get regular listens.

Future Sound of London - Lifeforms. This really is very mature and intelligent electronica. Every song manages to sound familiar.

There must have been others but I can't think of them
