Just feels like apples and oranges to me. S3 had songs, Loop had a sound.

Loop's sound evolved with each album, but the albums themselves sometimes sounded samey. In S3's case I sometimes think that if there were more bands in their time doing what they did with better equipment and musicianship, S3 would not have left the same footprint.

Though I liked them both in their time for different reasons...and still love that Transparent Radiation cover.
