Gorky's Zygotic Mynci are quality!!

Why has it all gone wrong?

If you go back to the mid 90's, Radio 1/TOTP/NME were promoting half decent music. I've got still got my Glasto 94 NME...

On the cover: Jungle Techno,Julian Cope,Wildhearts,The Orb,Charlatans,Pedro Almodovar...

Give me a fucking time machine!!

no it wasn't , radio 1/totp nme have been shite for as long as i've been paying attention, its just you forget all the tripe thats on between the small good part.Radio 1 is a farce at the moment only because deluded ninnies like Jo Whiley think they know about music, and push pap like coldplay, oasis and the strokes at us as cutting edge.Same with the music press, and TV music, no risks no danger dictated by advertising, check the top selling artists of the last 40 years and you'll find thats its all pap

Ah the good old days, eh Earl. I do sometimes have to step back in case I'm getting to old and missing something. But when my contemparies, in age only, are going to see U2 and raving about Coldplay I know somethings gone wrong. Ten/twenty years ago these people were not interested in music. Developing a taste in music takes work, much of today's music is been sold as a disposable commodity.

I know I get on my high horse sometimes, but I feel strongly about this and I don't want to see music destroyed by greedheads. Just look at what they've done to Glastonbury - you can hire a Winnebago for £6000 and live in luxury for the weekend. Surely that's not what the spirit of these festivals is about, is it?

Or maybe I'm just getting old - ah fuck it I'm off to listen to some ELO, Concerto for a Rainy Day, I think.

LOL, though I think you'll find ELO have a little more originality and talent than Oasis, of course that is only my opinion

Well U2 never used more than three cords or three notes in their life up to Rattle And Hum (maybe...)

Gorky's are one of the worst bands I've ever seen. Consequently (rightly or wrongly) I've avoided their records since. Maybe I'll have to have a resh listen.

You want to go back to the Wildhearts and Charlatans?! I'd rather have Coldplay than The Charlatans!!

Queen stars Brian May and Roger Taylor have launched an attack against Coldplay.

The legendary rockers are less than impressed by the talent of the Glastonbury headliners, with Taylor commenting that the Crazy Frog was more deserving of the number one spot.

"I actually prefer it to the Coldplay record," Taylor explained, according to the Daily Star. "All they do just sounds too similar."

LOL

"I'm not going to hold a grudge so long as I don't have to"

Good luck with avoiding it.

Those two really annoy me how they can still tour and think they are still "Queen" is pathetic. "Queen" died with Freddy imo. And sorry if i'm going to annoy somebody but Coldplay were great last night and EATB were shit ( well he was). ;-) xx
