A couple of duff tracks but stuffed with good tunes is 'Barafundle'...To be listened to with an old man by the fire.

I remember seeing Gorkys in the Acoutsic tent at Glastonbuys at the time that Tatay was out.

It was ace. Noisy guitars, dischord keyboards. Some people loved it, other people thought it was a piss take and were wetting themselves laughing, either way everyone in the ten was having fun one way or another!!

There's nothing wrong with liking different music, even Coldplay. However, it is the reverence with which the bland Coldplay are feted that gets me, when other far more interestin music is ignored by the masses.

We all have our own taste in music, and that's as it should be. Although most people will accept that we all have the right to like what we like, I can understand (and feel) the frustration when something that seems particularly poor to us (Oasis in my case) is feted by the world at large as exceptional. You wonder why the rest of the world cannot see that (Oasis in my case) are just re-working, BADLY, music created by (The Beatles in my case) and getting huge fortunes and great artistic credit for it, which seems unfair.

Music lovers fall into two broad catagories, those that listen to music intensely and want to be challanged and moved by it, and those that like something on in the background that has a good tune or a good beat to it.

The charts show the proportion of each type.

I saw the new Crazy Frog advert on tv the other day. Crazy frog is djing, possibly using his knob as a stylus, all to the wondrous sounds of "Popcorn" by Hot Butter. Or is it "Hot Butter" by Popcorn?......

"Popcorn" by Hot Butter. I remember that one from childhood and wish I could find a copy... Another track they did was included on the Re/Search Incredibly Strange Music Vol. 2 CD.

Anyone remember "Dancing In The Moonlight"? What band did that? I forgot...

To be honest, what I heard from Gorky wasn't bad, but nothing I'd make the rush to the record store for... I think the Manic Street Preachers were more interesting.
