A few years ago the Ash released a couple of albums of drum n bass and trance mixes of riffs (old n new) called Trance Visionary and Psychic Terroism. I know it sounds like a bad trendy vicar idea but the results were really good and got an amazed thumbs up from the dance music press.

Don't think it played too well with the more die-hard Ash afficianados but as an Ash fan meself I really liked 'em.

haha I'm a giblet I know but I have a soft spot for Planets. From the teutonic phrasing, the gross fromage synths to the textured (mmmm rubby) Rodney Matthews sleeve - there'll always be room for a dodgy concept album by a 3rd division kraut prog group in my podule.

I think Copeland's a superb drummer -- he did a solo record with a world beat sorta vibe sometime in the late 80's that I liked better than anything Sting ever did post-Police.

Dantalion's Chariot was a solid psych/nuggets band -- I think Zoot Money was also in that group, they remade their single "The Madman" after those two joined Burdon's Animals (on the "Love Is" LP -- the side 4 medley with "Gemini", a tune originally by Quatermass.)

I think Dantalion's Chariot were the psych incarnation of the Big Roll band. Not sure what the line up change was but yup twas Zoot & whoever else.

And Copeland also made that Klark Kent Don't Care 45 of course, which I played on that punk boxset only a few days ago.
