That lead guitar line's repeating over & over in my bonce now. Nicked from Iron Maiden's 'Prowler' I think.

Don't forget the Anglo God (K-Mart's band) or the Dutch God.

They like Yes, and don't like Sigor Ros.

Blimey. What sort of list is this? ; )

Didn't the Civilian album have that song "I Am A Camara" or something? About the only Gentle Giant song I've heard so far...

the funniest thing about Love beach is that one of my friend's had a US pressing, which included a merch form with Love Beach satin tour jacket and love beach dolphin shorts (that's american for distrubingly skimpy terricloth micro shorts so beloved of little teenage sluts in the 70s). someone at the label thought Love Beach was going to be a big breakthrough album for ELP.

that someone is probably now puffing sour cream on 39 cent tacos on a disused amusement park on the seawall in Galveston.

"we'll make love on looooove beach..." greg lake is a wanker. pass it on.

Stuart previously played in a prog-rock band also. Curved Air I think it was. The guitarist also played in Dalnation's Chariot, probably one of those bands that were psychedelia on it's way to prog (although haven't heard them so I don't know...) The Police also collaborated with a synth artist called Eberhard Shroder or something, and there was a Police off-shoot that also teamed up with some old prog-geezers called Nuclear Waste or something...

Dantalion's Chariot

Andy Summers (Somers) was the only decent chap in The Police.
Copeland and especially Stink- always came across as arrogant turds.
Didn't like their cod-reggae much either, although some of the A. Summers' guitar parts were interesting.
