Me, I've read hardly any 'green' literature. I don't have the capacity to take in the science of the graphs, tbh.

Also, that stuff, the stuff that's done in boardrooms and chewed over by governments is not really about the behaviour of 'us', the general punters.
It's about huge stuff we aren't really direclty involved with, so many just switch off and go into 'abstract mode'.
We can do our bit though, even if they talk shite, but for it to get through the message it requires ain't just about polar ice caps or remote villagers in places we've not heard of.
People always care more about themselves, always, crap as that is.
Get it over that using less electricity will make you a bit better off, and less will be used. Emphasise that, not the other, and still the other benefits.
I'm a miserable git who always unplugs all I can and I never do 'standby'.
