...and as promised

Huge thanks to you, I camped two nights by the Dune, which I was so mesmerised by that my trip got delayed, but, as my Third Person recounts somewhere else, I do not regret it. This dune is almost as the size of a small town and a height the height of a hill, with slopes that steeply dive into the forest at almost a right angle. I was scared of touching the edges thinking I might spoil the whole dune but the fact is this thing has a life of its own, as impressive from Cap Ferret as walking on it. I climbed it several times a day and the views of the sea and sunsets were spectacular. There is even space for long walks on its top. Beautiful at dusk, too.

Cap Ferret was longer than thought and to reach its tip took me more than an hour from the beaches. I was actually expecting something more low-key, lighthouse tales and pipe smokers but the fun and sun was equally great.
