ooops, apologies Meister Quam, missed this thread..er..

It's easy from Bordeaux, there's one long road westwards. The whole Arcachon Basin is wildly atlantic, I remember seeing the Dune de Pyla (largest dune in Europe) from Cap Feret, all in all a strange place and seemed like a billion miles away from Shropshire, but then so was Collioure, Ardeche, Perpignan and Tooting ;-)
