One of his worse songs ever? That could well be true, IMO. Good as the 'betrayed' thing is, you have to wonder what he was thinking with all the 'I'll be your rock of Gibraltar, we'll walk down the alter, our love will never falter, we'll honeymoon in Malta' stuff.

And yet, just two tracks later, comes the mighty Babe I'm On Fire, and I'm still awestruck by it's greatness. How can it last 15 minutes and still seem too short? Ah, if only some of Cope's longer stuff could manage that!

Damn it's fine!

If any one has yet to listen to Nick Cave, Nocturama has to be the perfect introduction, ranging as it does from beautiful to violent to personal to epic to quiet to loud to the odd bit of crap. Pretty much covers his whole career.
