Still are great!! There was a new album in the middle of last year and I saw them play at Leeds Festie!! They've still got it and the Deal's are still as lovely as ever!!
Got me singing 'Drivin All Night.... Does daddy have a shotgun... do do do do do do ;o)

Weeeird..I was just singing this song the other day,but the original version by a one time Boston,then SF band called Ed's Redeeming Qualities(wortha thread on their own)..Carrie Bradley who played guitar,violin and sang w/the band appeared on that Breeders album and that song,I belive
..And the actually lyric is "Driving on Nine..."
( a highway name)
A quirky,fascinating(and tragic) band...the fellow that originally sang that song and wrote much of their material early on died of cancer..the band continued on,but often honored him...When he was still alive.they even shaved their head in unity with his hair loss from chemo.....what a bunch
