Been listening to a compilation called Oceans of Sound by David Toop (anyone heard of it). It is really rather broad and eclectic, though my fellow passengers on the way to my course (I'm based at the camel trail in Cornwall if anyone knows it) failed to share my enthusiasm. The best they could muster was the fucking irritating 'hmmm that's different' - as if they were dismissing it outright just cos they couldn't get their heads round listening to it. Mind you it's not ideal travel music!. The track that stood out was Ornette Coleman's 'Virgin beauty'. Sorry to be so long winded.
