There was a great Tom Robinson show on Radio 6 yesterday that was all about Chuck. Included this from 1979, and it sounded great:

I suppose if you get an extra 20 years tagged on your 3 score and 10 you have the opportunity to rationalise any fears of mortality. I suspect he was prouder of his words than his music.
