Sad but my god, a rock n roller who lived to 90 years old. Now that is truly amazing. This man was rock n roll, and our musical world would have been so different had he not picked up the axe. My daughter has loved his music since she was 7, after watching Back to the Future, I bought her a Chuck Berry LP. She sings all the songs, and wants to learn to play them now that she's 10.

Outside of his own music, the cover of "Sweet Little Sixteen" by Sonics Rendezvous Band is the next best tribute I can think of.
