St Etienne present Songs For The Carnegie Deli - Beautiful collection of 60s Pop/Soul Brill Building-type stuff.

Die Verboten - Die Verboten - Kosmische disco a little like Prins Thomas, pretty good on first listen.

LA Priest - Inji - Quite an eclectic album of electronic dance. Some gems in there I think.

Ian Dury - New Boots And Panties

Marc & The Mambas - Torment & Toreros sprawling double LP , possibly trying a bit hard to be any thing but Soft Cell. A good edit would help but as with many of these things the arguments about what to trim away would be endless

Motown Chartbusters Vols 1-6 again sprawling but not a wasted note here from start to finish, the only problem being some tracks pale due to the stellar company they are keeping, Jimmy Ruffin must be welled pissed off that he seems to be constantly stuck between Stevie Wonder & Diana Ross

Bad Company - s/t, Straight Shooter often wondered what Rodgers & Ralphs really thought as they came from what I and I suspect many others would regard as far superior bands to make meat and potatoes rock [admittedly it was finest stewing steak and Maris Pipers but it's still meat n tatties] selling out mega stadiums and writing Can't get enough probably helped but however good these are they ain't Mad Shadows or Fire & Water

Horace Andy - Skylarking because sometimes when it's snowing and blowing a gale you something a wee bit cheerier than Khanate

Ministry - Los Angeles 1992 isn't Big Al JC's brother in law, did they have a big row one Xmas over who had the biggest mike stand or have I just made that up, anyway this is excellent

Thin Lizzy - Johnny The Fox

The Honey Pot - Live In London

The Stranglers - The Old Testament the UA studio recordings

The Fuzztones - Lysergic Emanations

Yes - Close to the Edge also down by the edge, just round the corner and not far away, could Mr Anderson be singing about Nisa, home of the £1 flapjack

Rainbow - Rising Stargazer & A Light in the Black possibly the greatest side of HM vinyl ever [this week any way]

The Duutti Column - Idiot Savants

SunnO))) - Domkirke on vinyl, in a big sleeve, I have a Monty Python LP which folds out into a box which is smaller than this, my Woodstock triple LP if dropped from a height would cause less damage than this. Oh and it sounds great as well. I'm off to see if my copy of the Pentateuch of the Cosmogony weighs more, I'm guessing it will be a close call

Does the packaging have gig photos like the original? I've seen photos of the original but on the SunnO))) website they don't show any images of the inner sleeves etc. Nor mention whether it's a gatefold. Love this album but only have it on MP3 so tempted to get this.

I have been a bit overwhelmed by Robert Trujillo's genius "Jaco" documentary. Not much else has had a look in. Jaco gets the blame for all sorts of lapses of taste amongst bass players of every stripe but he remains the man who could make the instrument sing like a horn and a fiddle and the human voice with great economy. As with John Bonham it's the economy that his followers have failed to appreciate and the amazing vibrato is all in the hands and not in the rig. Buy all the gear and play as fast as you like but that's totally misunderstanding what made him an innovator. That's the thing about having a killer tone on any instrument. You simply don't have to play as hard or as long or as fast or as loud as the next person.

AWB - Show Your Hand
Weather Report - Black Market
Weather Report - Mr Gone
Weather Report - Heavy Weather
Weather Report - 8:30
Weather Report - Live & Unreleased
Jaco Pastorius - Jaco
Jaco Pastorius - World of Mouth
Pat Metheny - Bright Sized Life
Nina Simone - Emergency Ward
Joni - Hejira
Joni - Mingus
Joni - Don Juan's Reckless Daughter

my copy looks like this
https://41.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_ll95lmhcYz1qk7jh1o1_500.jpg

and the sleeve is a gatefold opens up to a shot of the cathedral interior, the vinyl itslf is the full 180 gramme job and the sleeves are of heavy duty material, think 70s Zeppelin/Floyd sleeves plus 10%, just as a simple artefact it's impressive, I have a japanese import Beck Bogart Appice LP probably the only thing that comes near, maybe my old copy of The Song Remains The Same, you can feel the Quality & the Width.
Oh Yeah it sounds great as well
