Gong in the '70's: slipped through my net. Only heard of it when checking Am.com customer reviews of Peel Sessions. One 5* review. Checked trax, youtubed and 'dang' Hi ho.. Anyway, Cheb was an 'artiste' imo. His album Shri Durga also has found sounds from his Indian travels and Laswell too. Not heard it - recommended as a 'nooky accompaniment' it seems - but have remixed version. Krishna Lila's more tranquil. Damn atmospheric stuff that I reckon's going to go OOP. Oh, and if you have't got Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan's Live in Paris Vol 1 then buy. I love it. Honest Jon's 've got it. The 'Rough Guide to..'' is very good too.
