thought I'd just bung in a few random titles that are pretty great.
Fat Hit - Canadian avant garde rock trio, wish I could get this on cd
Caspar Brotzmann Massaker Home Guitarist son of avant sax giant Peter, plays a live set in the studio as a near farewell to his band.
Tim Buckley Return Of tHe Starsailor or any of the actual Starsailor band live sets.
Ramleh Homeless
Jefferson Airplane After Bathing At Baxters (an attempt to recreate an acid trip by one of the quintessential ballroom psych bands)
Pharoah Sanders You've Got To Have Freedom or the series of lps from around '68 to the mid 70s that have the full length tracks on.
Comus First Utterance
Pop Group Y
Sun Ra Strange Celestial road, Spontaneous Simplicity and a lot of others
Can various live sets especially 22/5/72
Velvet Underground the Nothing Song
Conqueroo From The Vulcan Gas Co much needed reissue of this material would be welcome.
Grateful Dead live jams from August '68 and May '70
Miles Davis Dark Magus era
John Coltrane Quartet live also Quintet.
Henry Cow around '75 especially on the long improvisations
Amon Duul Yeti
some of the BIrthday Party's wilder live stuff
Gong live around '74
God Anatomy of Addiction (dubbed out production on avant rock goodness)

will think of others later

also always really loved listening to these 2 while I was tripping
Einsturzende neubauten Zeichnungen Der patienten O.T.
Savage Republic Jamahiriya
both for textures, think Pop Group's Y & the Airplaner's baxters both fit there too.
