It could be one of a hundred dearly cherished albums - and would be a different one if I posted here tomorrow, more than likely. But, tonight I'm saying T.REX by T.REX. It marks the point where Tyrannosaurus Rex started to beef up the sound and writing away from loose, naive pieces but still maintaining the beautiful charms and hooks. Produced by Tony Visconti it remains a firm favourite of mine to this day - and because I play it so rarely, these days, I can still hear its freshness.
