Anthology of American Folk Music. Once I'd listened to them enough to memorise all the lyrics, I'd have a neat little repertoire of songs to sing myself when I'm a'lonesome and wistful.

i'd probably take something i don't know well and it would probably be a large box set: jazz, classical, avant garde, folk, bluegrass, etc.,
