I know of him, obviously, and what a highly regarded player he is, but apart from 'that song' which we'll forget about, I've never actually heard any of his music. I've seen him mentioned so many times by people with good taste, so, should I check him out and any particular recommendations ?

I quite like the Truth and Beckola lps from 1968/69 blues rock with Rod Stewart and Ronnie Wood on vocals and bass. Truth predates Led Zeppelin one iirc but ploughs the same furrow.

I may have difficulty with the Rod connection, to be honest.

I found the Beck ,Bogert & Appice a low point particualrly the demolition of Superstition .

You know his work with the Yardbirds, right? The LP variously known as Roger the Engineer or Under over Sideways Down is a psych classic.
