I have an earworm. I know I've played a whole load of stuff over the last week, from novelty songs to Beethoven. Audiobooks to Black Eyed Peas.

But what's going on in my head right now is "Ophelia" by Kula Shaker.

Now, Kula Shaker are, to me, a right old mishmash of sublime soaring songs and mediocre derivative songs. I've only heard 2 albums by them - K and Pilgrim's progress. In both cases it's the same deal. A couple of really good stand out tracks, afloat in a sea of unexceptionalism. Ophelia soars. Pilgrims progress is sporadic.

I have a liking for Kula Shaker. A mixed bag as you say, but I think ol' Crispy is a pretty good guitarist and singer and they did provide a splash of rockin' colour during the Dad-Rock years.
