But what's going on in my head right now is "Ophelia" by Kula Shaker.
Now, Kula Shaker are, to me, a right old mishmash of sublime soaring songs and mediocre derivative songs. I've only heard 2 albums by them - K and Pilgrim's progress. In both cases it's the same deal. A couple of really good stand out tracks, afloat in a sea of unexceptionalism. Ophelia soars. Pilgrims progress is sporadic.
I have a liking for Kula Shaker. A mixed bag as you say, but I think ol' Crispy is a pretty good guitarist and singer and they did provide a splash of rockin' colour during the Dad-Rock years.
