Yeah, sorry. I meant a different key. Duh... I'm not a musician, as you've probably worked out.

I saw Zeppelin's second Knebworth show in 1979, btw.

Ooh, you lucky bugger!

I don't know whether it was 1 or 2 but the footage of Achillies last stand is so good. Everything hanging together by the thinnest of threads and page looking like hes been stood under a shower for 15 minutes.

Bah! Can't find it on in Manchester at any of the cinemas in town. May have been and gone whilst I was down south. 8^(

Oh well, my mum and her bloke have got a massive telly. Hopefully I'll get to see it on DVD at Xmas or something.

I think it was only showing on that one day, Wed October 17th. Again, seems odd just the one performance.....

Yeah, Page looks like his guitar weighs 20 tons in the Knebworth footage and probably sweated out enough heroin to turn any passing insects into extras from Trainspotting.

I love the Albert Hall footage too - a really minimal set up - 4 blokes and some lights -and just a powerhouse, spellbinding delivery that makes you realise why people thought they were chanelling other-worldly forces.

Only ever saw the Page & Plant No Quarter gig at Wembley Arena. They opened with "Wanton Song". Bloody great.

I only (only?) got to see Page n Plant too, but it was at my first Glastonbury and the sun was out, the beer was cold, the music was delicious and they presented Michael Eavis and his then wife (rip) an award to mark the then 25th Glasto anniversary, so it was a pretty special thing really.

V happy.

I'm so glad I went to a local screening of this amazing movie.
...seriously, how could I miss it anyway?
LZ is my band...the boys were up to the task and the show was great.
the performances were still tight but loose and it felt fun.
Page turned up the heat and reminded me why I love him so much.
Am still glad that Plant opted out of the reunion tour...he is a forward thinking mo-fo and this would cement him a rut.
this concert was a fine final chapter in their legacy.
I await the DVD!!

Apparently there is a bonus DVD disc of a rehearsal performance on a sound stage at Pinewood. Would be interested to see what they are like in terms of following their improv instincts with the pressure off.
