I got UFO's Flying. Despite the wonderful sleeve art, it's horrible. But...charming nonetheless

I've always liked that record. My favorite of the 2 from the Mick Bolton era of UFO. Sure... raw jams w/ flat production... but... it has it's place

What do you think of Gorguts? One of my favs. I saw them live in Boston a few years ago. Luc Lemay was wearing a fanny pack, sweatpants and Birkenstocks with no irony.

Obscura is the only record that I know by Gorguts, but I do love that record. Pretty challenging stuff. Sad that Steeve Hurdle passed away at such a young age. His guitar work is great on that record.

!!..Luc's stage wardrobe... I've seen other metal dudes on stage with similar dress... It's like, "I'm travelin', I'm exercising, I'm staying comfortable and I don't give a fuck!"

I hear yuh. Their follow-up "From Wisdom to Hate" is pretty good. Not as good as Obscura, though. An absolutely horrific album. I don't know their earlier stuff, but I hear it's mostly boiler-plate death metal.

There's a Luc Lemay guitar lesson on youtube that's jaw-dropping. Eat it, Robert Fripp.

Don't miss it. I saw them last April in Madrid and it was a great gig. That Lichens guy is definitely a great addition to their live sound.
