Mate, some of them jazz cat bassists would intimidate the devil himself! Believe me, I got your albums, you no slouch!!! Some great playing on that Lunar Dunes From Above record! Style of playing on that Lp reminds me of Roly's stuff for the Ozrics, at times. Great stuff!
Thanks very much. I really appreciate that though it's kind of funny as well as I didn't like the Ozrics at all. At 19 I just wanted to play like Jimmy Garrison and Charlie Haden but had to settle for a more rudimentary Tina-Weymouth-In-Dub approach. I blame my lack of jazz chops on sheer laziness on my part having been distracted by the desire for food and shelter and a social life. Watching orchestral players on the other hand tends to just make me want to give up entirely. Then again would they be happy playing five notes for two hours?
