I was listening to those 2 last week. I love 'em.


Their early gigs (often with Wasted Youth in tow) were really great. Ahead of their time if you had never heard White Light White Heat. Ahead of their time anyway in terms of what came later with JAMC and MBV. The first album lacked some of that intensity but like Simple Minds they were really good until America had its way with them. TTT is on the edge. Good album though.



Agreed with all that, although I don't think I ever saw them live. I think 1st album was pretty intense though!


It sounds great now. At the time I was a bit underwhelmed by the first album as the audio-visual assault in somewhere like the Moonlight Club was just amazing. If ever there was a band that should have started with a raw live album or ep it was them I think.
