Visiting big houses in the country? I hope you're not thinking of squatting, young man.
Another fool dips his toe into the choppy waters of HHville. Put your socks back on, before it's too late!!!!!!! x

I have to admit, I'm struggling with Psychedelic Revolution. Someone pointed out the lack of variety in the percussion, but Black Sheep was pretty much the same, and I find I enjoy listening to that album from time to time. Some of the songs, like "These Things I know" had an immediacy. I was attracted to the pop, the hooks. Others took longer to get under my skin. But after giving both disks of Psychedelic Revolution several playings, I find I can muster little enthusiam for it. This is mainly due to the songwriting, rather than the lyrics.

The artwork, the posturing, the deliberate use of radical imagary? Well, I find myself struggling to take it seriously, and therefore it doesn't really bother me.

I've always wondered about the waving of the anarcho communist flag, but thats been taken up recently in a number of circles. Allying yourself with that particular flavour of anarchism, in fact rather than anarcho-primitivism the green and black flag has always made me ponder but then.

I know I'll not really like this album much as I haven't for quite a number of years. What he does do well is coalesce interesting, clever and fun people in his fan base. The music these days? Live, yeah, I quite like, recorded output ... cba.

Ah well, the green and black lot are a bunch of lightweights really. If you want reliable individuals on an action you'll go for the red/black end of the bloc every time. ;)

Heh the green anarchy thing reminds me of the zippies! Used to read green anarchist back erm ... just back. Thing I realised in the kettle in Luton, I'm amongst the biggest on the inside, a hundred starving students are just no match for 40 six foot three 18 stone cops in full body armour, they just stood there and waited for the kids to tire themselves out, patted them on the head then escorted the breakout group back to the main demo. A fun lesson in futility

If anyone needs a gun for prop purposes my son makes life size ones out of Lego!!
His bedroom's like a bloody armoury.
His knowledge of guns is encyclopedic, came in handy when we had armed police outside our last house (looking for whoever was setting off massive explosions on Towneley fields. Never made the papers, naturally) he calmly told us the make, model, year of manufacture, size and type of ammo etc etc.
Perhaps I should be worried!!!
Nah.

Does anybody else think the album has bits and bobs from all parts of his career, varied in a very good way, it's like they've all started hanging out and have become friends, it seems to make his past very now indeed, his records of the past have never sat so comfortably next to each other, and he's done the aliens proud with roswell. Everything he's done is better than most, don't you think?
